It dates from 1837 when a philanthropist decided to petition for the first botanical garden in America. There are over 80 species of plants along with statues, monuments and greenhouses in the gardens. The main attraction though is the lake which is home of a group of swans and other ducks. If you want to purchase tickets to a game then you have to act quickly because they're known to sell out within 48 hours of release. Old North Church

The Old North Church is one of the most visited historic attractions in Boston. Inspired by the work of Sir Christopher Wren, the church was constructed in 1723. Right in front of the church you can admire the statue of Paul Revere which commemorates his famous midnight ride. By taking a tour of the church you'll have the opportunity to learn more about American history, especially the Revolution. It is free to visit the church, but at the front door you can show your support by making a donation. You can visit the church every day between 9am and 4pm.

Museum of Science

Located in Science Park, the Boston Museum of Science represents a fantastic way of learning more about animals, medicine and other fascinating subjects. There are more than 20 permanent exhibits in the museum which offer a lot of information to take in and articles to look at. You have the opportunity of interacting with live animals, discover the lost world of dinosaurs and explore x-ray technology. The museum was established in 1830 and is visted by 1.4 million people each year. The museum is open every day between 9am and 5pm.
